The Same Teacher Who Called Charlie Kirk “Garbage” is Being Honored

10 June, 2026: Benjamin Fillo, a teacher at Barrington High School in Rhode Island, USA, has been honored in the school’s 2026 Year Book, despite his inflammatory remarks concerning the assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025. Following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, Fillo posted a video online calling Kirk “garbage” and criticizing his views on the LGBTQ community and women’s rights.

Fillo was placed on administrative leave for violating the school district’s social media policy but returned to the classroom on December 1, 2025. The recent criticism stems from a dedication included in the 2026 yearbook, which praises Fillo’s “effervescence and dedication.” A spokesperson for the school district stated that the yearbook dedication was determined by the senior class, not the administration.

The Reason For This Obvious Hatred

How ironic: These very same liberals who have the gall to lecture us on hatred, are some of the most despisable, hate-filled people on the planet. Their blatant hostility for anyone who has the courage to stand up for what they believe in evokes some of the most depraved comments and mindsets. They have become the very things they proclaim they hate.

This isn’t about LGBTQ or Women’s Rights: This is about the difference between good and evil, plain and simple. The liberal mindset is poisoned from the beginning: They believe, in spite of the obvious news headline, that man is basically good. They believe it is the outside influences on a person that causes them to do bad things. This is why we see this trend to blame anything and anyone except the person when something bad happens.

Right now, this Karmelo Anthony case that is in the news is a typical example. This young man murdered a 17-yo boy. But the liberal mindset this is because of racism, not because Anthony is a killer. Blame the victim, blame society, blame white people; but do not blame the perpetrator of the crime.

What The Bible Has To Say

The Bible is clear about God thinks of this theory that man is basically good. Just as the current news headlines prove, man, left to his own devices and without any type of absolute morals, will always gravitate toward evil. There is no such thing as self redemption. This is no such thing as situational ethics:

But we are all as an unclean thing,
and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;
and we all do fade as a leaf;
and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. – Isaiah 64:6 KJV

God is brutally clear about his views on our ‘goodness’. Without being too gross, this reference to ‘filthy rags’ is actually a reference to used menstrual cloths. That is what God thinks of our righteousness.

“There is none righteous, no, not one;
11 There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.
12 They have all turned aside;
They have together become unprofitable;
There is none who does good, no, not one.” – Romans 3:10-12 NKJV

God’s Judgement Is Clear

Imagine if this was a teacher at your local school. A man dies in an assassination by those who wanted to take away his God-given right to free speech. That is horrible enough on its own: But for a teacher in your school to stand up and publicly refer to that victim as garbage.

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
And prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe to men mighty at drinking wine,
Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink,
23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe,
And take away justice from the righteous man! – Isaiah 5:20-23 NKJV

God’s judgment for those who do such putrid things is spelled out in this same chapter of Isaiah:

He has stretched out His hand against them
And stricken them,
And the hills trembled.
Their carcasses were as refuse in the midst of the streets. – Isaiah 5:25 NKJV

Remember this is nothing that should make us angry or vengeful. This is simply a sign of the end of times. The Bible explains to us in Romans 1:18-32 how these people come to this depraved state of mind. And as much as I hate to say it, there will be no redemption for them. Not because God has cut them off, but because they have committed an unpardonable sin: the complete and utter rejection of God. There is no amount of convincing will revive them, only a change of heart from the inside out can save them. Unfortunately, they have given their minds completely over to evil.
