Echoes and Origins: Mission Statement*

At Echoes and Origins, our mission is to be the witness Jesus spoke of in the last days. It is our goal to ensure that no person lacks access to the unfiltered truth of the imminent return of Jesus. We also do our best to support the Christians of the United States and other countries, by offering words of comfort, Bible teachings and other resources in order to prepare everyone for His return. We focus on the Appalachian heritage that we are so fortunate to be associated with: Giving assistance to the local churches woven like a tapestry across these mountains steeped in history.

Constitutional Protection

Echoes and Origins operate under the full protection of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, which guarantees our right to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion. This includes the lawful publication of spiritual reflections, biblical interpretations, and commentary on current events. We do not incite violence or violate any court orders. Our work is peaceful, prophetic, and rooted in a commitment to truth, legacy, and civic responsibility.

What I Believe

In light of the Charlie Kirk assassination, I would like to make my views 100% crystal clear:

I believe the Bible is the complete inerrant Word of God himself. In plain language, I believe everything in the Bible is true, historically and spiritually. Yes, I believe in Noah’s Ark. Furthermore, I take the Bible literally whenever possible. That means when Jesus calls himself the Door or Gate, of course that is symbolic; but places where the Bible can be taken literally, it should be taken literally.

I believe in rightly dividing God’s word. The Old Testament applied to the Jewish people up and until the day Jesus rose from the dead. Now, we live under a much better covenant, with better promises, all paid for us by the blood of Jesus Christ. Now, the Old Testament has been done away with, and we are to live under the New Testament just as Jesus instructed us to do.

Neither is new wine put into old wineskins. If it is, the skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins are destroyed. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved. – Matthew 9:17 ESV

Jesus wasn’t a winemaker, so this is not a lesson on storing wine. This is Jesus telling us that the New Testament cannot be enclosed inside the Old Testament. He is telling us that the New Covenant he is making for us has to be embraced completely, and to the exclusion of the Old Testament. You cannot depend on works to save you.

I believe there is only one way to heaven and that is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for our sins. The Bible says without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. I take that literally; and that sacrifice was satisfied when Jesus rose from the dead. There is no backstage pass, there is no stairway. You don’t have to go to heaven if you don’t want to; but if you do, there’s only one way. Jesus

I believe in the God given Constitution of the United States of America. It wasn’t written by a bunch of old, rich, white men. The average age was 42. It was written by young believers in God, the Bible, and those born again. In the Declaration of Independence, our Founding Fathers wrote the very blueprint of the Constitution: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Rights are given to us by God and not the government. And those who try to convince us otherwise are doing so to our detriment: If government gives us rights, government can take them away.

I believe that people have the right to express their opinions publicly regardless of what anyone may think: Those who are celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk are very shortsighted and quite frankly, lack a basic amount of common sense: There might come a day when their views are hated as much as Charlie’s were, then the very First Amendment they currently blaspheme will be the shelter they run to.

Hell is a real place; I believe that eternal punishment for the rejection of God has been created from the day that Lucifer first rebelled. I believe that there is only one sin that will cause you to go to hell – the rejection of Jesus as your savior. To do that will seal your fate. Because that is rejection of the Holy Spirit.

In closing, let me say I believe every life has value. From the unborn child to the worst criminal alive. As long as there is life in the body and breath in the lungs a person has a chance at redemption. Killing a Christian only does them a favor; not only do they go directly in the presence of God, but they have his ear. The Bible says in the book of Revelation that martyrs cry out to God for Vengeance. But no life is without meaning. And to kill another person is to deprive them the opportunity to receive God’s mercy.

Recently, I was the victim of a deepfake story. Embarrassingly I had to pull the post and after much handwringing, decided it shouldn’t be reposted. It is my ultimate goal to make sure that factual, Bible based, quality information is posted on this site. You as a reader have every right to expect that the information you receive here is the truth, and I have an expectation to verify stories before writing them. I would rather be embarrassed by a comment, then to have errors exist on this site. If you see a factual error, please post a comment about it. I will take appropriate steps to make sure this is either corrected or taken down.

About Me*

My name is Tim Bowling. There really isn’t anything special about me. As a teen, I developed a passion for Bible prophecy, even before I became a Christian. Throughout my life, I have studied Bible prophecy from many, many teachers including one of the most influential teachers of modern times, Dr. Chuck Missler. Starting in 2015, I began to see an increase in the signs of the Lord’s return. However, starting in 2020, I started to see an astonishing turn. As people became more cruel and callous, the love people had for one another began to disappear. As of now, the signs are so completely obvious, there can be no other conclusion than the return of the Lord Jesus is imminent.
