As Riots Spread Across France, We Have to Ask Why
2 October 2026: French President Emmanuel Macron has presided over a circus in France. Curiously, his troubles began last summer when Macron announced his intention to recognize a Palestinian State over the objections of Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu. This isn’t the first country to fall victim to Zechariah’s prophecy.
2 “Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah. 3 On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it. – Zechariah 12:2-3 ESV
Former British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was the first to be struck down by this prophecy. Before his decision to turn his back on Israel, Starmer was considered the golden boy of the Labour Party. He had the so-called “Midas Touch”. Everything he touched prospered. He was a young, dashing, charming man who could do no wrong. However, just days after announcing his decision to turn his back on his long-time ally Israel, as the British say, everything went pear-shaped. Rumors began to circulate of tantrums he had over his hatred of King Charles. Civil unrest filled the streets as Muslim illegal immigrants were welcomed into the country by the Labour Party.
Suddenly, Starmer had the reverse Midas Touch. Everything he touched turned to crap. The man who could do no wrong suddenly could do no right. And the old saying proved more than true in Britain, “When you do right nobody remembers, when you do wrong nobody forgets.” Now Prime Minister Keir Starmer was forced to resign by mounting pressure from within his own Labour Party, after party members became increasingly concerned that his declining popularity and poor election results could damage Labour’s chances in the next general election.
Getting Back To France
France has been going through crisis after crisis. The latest riots are supposedly over school systems. The current wave is being driven primarily by high-school students, although it has become entangled with France’s much broader political and economic tensions. The protests began around September 21 in the Paris region and spread extraordinarily quickly. By October 1, more than 1,000 high schools had been affected and roughly 222 were blockaded.
But here’s where it gets ugly.
There have been fires, smashed property, attacks on police and firefighters, fireworks thrown at police, and clashes involving riot police. France’s Interior Ministry reported 1,949 arrests on Thursday alone and more than 300 police officers, gendarmes and firefighters injured. Reuters reports roughly 400 schools closed amid the unrest.
In all truth, rioting has become a favorite pastime for the French youth. They lack any type of self-restraint, rioting over the most ignorant of things including outcomes of soccer games!
Macron’s power to stop these riots are nonexistent. As of the writing of this article, Macron has said nothing about this latest round of riots. In fact, he has become little more than a joke. And that is not an exaggeration; last year, cameras caught a most unfortunate shot of Macron getting slapped in the face by his wife. To further make a mockery of his power, Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron sued Candace Owens in Delaware in July 2025, alleging defamation over Owens’s repeated claim that Brigitte Macron was born male and is actually her older brother, Jean-Michel Trogneux. The lawsuit contains 22 counts and seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
Emmanuel Macron suffered further humiliation when President Trump minimized his authority on the world stage over Macron’s decision to choose Palestine over Israel.
So, we are left wondering what will be the future of Emmanuel Macron’s government? Only time will tell. But underlying all this civil unrest is the problem of illegal Muslim immigration. This seems to be the gasoline that fuels the unrest. In the video below you can see masked rioters on motorcycles traveling through Paris with Palestinian flags. And behind all is the poisonous stream of lawlessness that seems to follow illegal immigration everywhere it goes.
Where are we?
I can honestly say that in my 62 years of living, I have never seen days such as this. I began studying Bible prophecy as a teenager, and I consider myself more than well-read on the subject. The alarming thing is not these sensational incidents, but the repeated fulfillment of Bible prophecy on a daily basis.
For example, if you always wanted to be a fortune teller, your chances of success are pretty high. Release hundreds of prophecies and nearly every subject. Chances are, some of them will come to pass. But, if you really want to become famous, you’re going to have to much better. You’re going to have to release hundreds of prophecies and have most everyone of them come true.
The Bible goes beyond any other book of prophecies ever written in the history of the world. The convergence of all these things taking place exactly as the Bible predicted all at the same time is something that no one can do by chance. There are no failed prophecies in the Bible. Not even one. Every single prophecy having to do with the end times are all coming true, and they’re coming true at the same time. There is no reason whatsoever to believe that the prophecies that have yet to come to pass will fail.
In June 2025, Zechariah hadn’t come to pass. But here we are, and it has literally come to pass. Last September, nearly 160 nations teamed up against Israel in favor of Palestine, by recognizing a Palestinian State in direct objections of Prime Minister Netanyahu. There are only 193 member states of the United Nations. Just as Zechariah predicted, all nations have gathered together against Israel. And just as Zechariah predicted, every nation that has come against Israel has only hurt themselves.
Here’s your chance to test Bible prophecy. In the last few months, Turkey has begun to threaten and pressure Israel. Let’s watch and see what happens to Turkey. In fact, according to the Bible, God has something special in mind for the nation of Turkey. Let’s see what happens.
