If Anything, the World Has Turned Against Israel
7 October 2026: As a real Christian, I unequivocally stand with Israel. Not that I am doing so out of some sort of Biblical obligation, but I am doing so out of a very real love of the Jewish people and the land of Israel. Today, I remember the people and the land of Israel on the anniversary of this tragedy. It is a sad truth, but the world has become antisemitic. My blog ratings will take a hit because of this article. Not because people won’t read it, but because thanks to search engine algorithms, it won’t get the coverage it would if I were to write something pro-Palestinian.
Three years ago, Israel suffered the greatest act of terrorism since the holocaust. 1,200 people were killed. 828 civilians, including 36 children; 367 security personnel, 71 foreign nationals. An additional 364 people were killed at the Nova Music Festival. And another 8,730 were injured.
Will the Real Villains Please Stand Up
But just who is right? Do the Palestinians have a valid concern? Is there actual genocide taking place? Or are the Israelis victims of centuries of persecution? Let’s take the first question head on. This information is according to available historic accounts: In 135 A.D., the Roman Empire was in control of the land that was at the time called Judah. This is where the word “Jew” comes from. Emperor Hadrian was completely fed up with these “Jews”. They were constantly attempting to throw off the yoke of the Roman Empire; there were lots of internal strife with the rise of Christianity and the conflict of the various factions of the Jewish faith.
Hadrian’s response however was not in line with the troubles. The temple had already been destroyed in 70 A.D., so many of the Jewish people had fled. Hadrian orders that the entire Jewish population be exiled from the land. Then as a final insult to the Jewish people, he renames the land ‘Palestine’, the Latin form of the word ‘Philistine.‘ The ancient enemy of the Jews, the Philistines, had become well known, largely due to the stories that the Jewish people told about their ancestors. For instance, in the story of David and Goliath, Goliath was a Phillistine.
The Philistines were completely wiped out, not be the Israelis, but by the Assyrians.
In 1867, Mark Twain was paid by the New York Times to visit Jerusalem and write about his travels. Here are some of the direct quotes from his visit:
“A silent, mournful expanse… we never saw a human being on the whole route.”
“We traversed some miles of desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds…”
“There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus… had almost deserted the country.”
“Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes… desolate and unlovely.”
– Mark Twain
Keep in mind this is before there was a nation of Israel. There was no conflict between the Palestinians and the Jews, because neither one was in the land! Twain himself called the land desolate. So, this narrative that the Palestinian contend that Israeli land is theirs is complete nonsense.
As far as the idea of genocide, let’s look at some real hard truth: South Africa has brought a case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), alleging that Israel is violating the Genocide Convention in Gaza. Yet, the ICJ has not ruled that Israel is committing genocide. The actual allegations are that Israel has a genuine disregard for the Palestinian people when it comes to its attacks on Hamas. However, Hamas intentionally places its military bases and weapons stockpiles in and around civilian populations.
This is a despicable act by Hamas, and if Hamas were fighting any other country, Hamas would be accused of war crimes. Using the Palestinian people as human shields is an actual violation of the Geneva Convention. No nation has done more to prevent civilian casualties than Israel. Israel actually fires empty shell casings as a warning to the Palestinians where their rockets are likely to land and gives the people ample time to flee in order to avoid being hurt or killed.
It’s dark humor to be sure, but if Israel is trying to commit genocide, they are doing a lousy job of it.
A Two-Thousand-Year-Old Hatred
And you shall be plucked off the land that you are entering to take possession of it.
64 “And the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known. 65 And among these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but the LORD will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and a languishing soul.66 Your life shall hang in doubt before you. Night and day you shall be in dread and have no assurance of your life. 67 In the morning you shall say, ‘If only it were evening!’ and at evening you shall say, ‘If only it were morning!’ because of the dread that your heart shall feel, and the sights that your eyes shall see. – Deuteronomy 28:63-67 ESV
I add these verses in my articles for a reason. The reason is because I want you to read for yourself what the Bible says and believe the Bible instead of me. Real Biblical prophecy doesn’t need anyone to decipher it for you. It is plainly written Bible prophecy that you can read, understand and believe. Don’t just skim over these verses! Read them.
You can plainly see right here in the book of Deuteronomy, the history of the Jews of the last 2,000 years. Just as God said, the Jews were routed from their land in 135 A.D., and wherever they went, they were the subject of persecution. In particular, pay attention to the statement, “ In the morning you shall say, ‘If only it were evening!’ and at evening you shall say, ‘If only it were morning!’ ” That indicates a life of misery, a state where there isn’t a peaceful moment of the day.
And that has been the fate of the Jewish people for the last 2,000 years. Even here in the United States, Jews have been a target of bigotry and persecution. But the most startling of prophecies, read this below. The popular narrative is there is no mention of the Holocaust in the Bible. Let’s prove that wrong once and for all.
24 Instead of perfume there will be a stench;
instead of a belt, a rope;
instead of beautifully styled hair, baldness;
instead of fine clothes, sackcloth;
instead of beauty, branding.
25 Your men will fall by the sword,
your warriors in battle.
26 Then her gates will lament and mourn;
deserted, she will sit on the ground. – Isaiah 3:24-26 CSB
There is not enough space in this article to show that the history of the Jewish people was written in advance. The plight of the Jewish people that traveled the world hoping to find a suitable place where they can live and grow without being the target of hatred. That is spelled out in detail from the book of Deuteronomy to the book of Matthew. Jesus himself spells out the event that would take place in 70 A.D.
1 As Jesus left and was going out of the temple, his disciples came up and called his attention to its buildings. 2 He replied to them, “Do you see all these things? Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left here on another that will not be thrown down.” – Matthew 24:1-2 CSB
Roman Emperor Titus had ordered every single man, woman and child in Jerusalem to be killed. He wanted the temple saved, in order to convert it to a temple for one of his gods. However, the temple was set on fire. Now the temple itself was made of stone, so it couldn’t burn, but the contents caught fire. This created an oven, where temperatures soared to over 1,300 Fahrenheit. That was hot enough to melt the considerable amount of gold inside the temple. The Roman soldiers took the temple apart, stone by stone, in order to retrieve the gold that had melted.
Jesus’ words were literally fulfilled in 70 A.D.
