A Watchman’s View of the Trump Peace Plan and Daniel’s Prophecies
This is not just another post. What follows is the single most important connection between current events and Bible prophecy that I have ever written on this site. Donald Trump’s Peace Plan is predicted in the Bible.
This blog started in April 2025 under the name Time of the Signs. At first, it was a very basic blog. I would repost a news article, and then simply post a Bible verse underneath it. The very basic inference was that Bible Prophecy was coming true.
I have never claimed to be an accomplished writer, but I have studied Bible prophecy for over 40 years. I was born in a small coal mining town in West Virginia. My mother was a staunch Baptist, and believed in the verse in Proverbs:
Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6 KJV
And I guess it worked, because here I am 62 years later, writing a Christian blog and writing Bible studies. I read a book in my teens, “Late, Great Planet Earth” by Hal Lindsey; even though I wasn’t a Christian, I was hooked on Jewish prophecies. When I was 19, I was born again. I have spent over 40 years reading and studying Bible prophecy. And in about 2016, I started seeing things beginning to change. More anger, more violence, more division in America. In 2021, something changed and it changed massively. I don’t mean to be political but a part of America became very radicalized, very quickly.
When What You Read Starts Becoming Reality
In 2021, I started seeing another reality: The Bible was coming true right in front of my eyes. Things that were happening in the world started matching Bible prophecy with amazing accuracy.
8 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.” – John 15:18-20 NIV
It Really is Like a Bad Dream
Imagine this: An absolutely humongous crowd. They are celebrating, dancing, drinking. But at the same time, they are slowly moving forward. At one point on the road a bridge is out: and as people find their way to the bridge they fall over the edge and plunge into a deep ravine and into the river below. Now imagine you start trying to warn people of the impending doom just feet away. But no matter how hard you try, no one wants to listen.
If someone had told me 20 years ago that there would be Christian persecution right here in America, I would have told you that there was NO WAY that this would happen in the USA. I lived in a country that may not have followed God’s word to the letter, but there was a universal respect for the word of God, and those that dedicated themselves to the word of God.
But just look how Christians are being treated today, right here in America.
- We are despised and mocked in media and in culture
- We are discriminated against in workplaces and public life.
- We are censored in social media, and we are suppressed in search engines
- We are even targets of violence not only in public, but in our own churches.
Concerning our neighbor to the north, I recently wrote an article “Canadian Law Would Outlaw Portions of the Bible”. This law will take away the Religious exceptions for free speech and make it illegal to read portions of the Bible in public, punishable by up to two years in prison.
Can You Handle the Truth?
I’m to the point where I don’t know how to proceed, so I’m not going to try to lead you anywhere, I’m going to give you only the truth, the documented, provable truth and let you decide for yourself. Am I right, or wrong?
Now this comes with a warning: WARNING! UNSUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH SENSITIVE FEELINGS. This literally contains Bible prophecies that might scare you, upset you, and cause to have panic attacks. Do not read further if you are susceptible to such things.
Is the End Upon Us?
Last year, President Donald Trump began a process to end the war in Israel. He reached an amazing cease fire plan that then became the foundation for a lasting peace in the region. While this peace agreement is still in its infancy, it has put an end to a lot, but not all, of the hostilities in the region.
Now, let’s take a look at some Bible prophecies and see what the prophet Daniel has to say about these things. Keep in mind that some of the prophecies are so exact in Daniel that skeptics have unsuccessfully tried to late-date the book of Daniel in order to explain the astonishing accuracy of the prophecies. But we will be looking into two key passages:
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, – Daniel 7:24 KJV
Now to keep this from just being a entire chapter from the book of Daniel, let me give you a rundown. Daniel has saw four beasts which represented four kingdoms. The fourth beast is different from the others, for it was a terrible beast with iron teeth. It devoured the other beasts and trampled down what was left. The beast had ten horns. Daniel asks the angel to tell him the meaning of the fourth beast and the meaning of the ten horns. The verse above, Daniel 7:24, is the angel’s explanation of the 10 horns.
Now let’s look at the other passage in Daniel that many people feel (including myself) as the most important prophecy given in the entire Bible.
27 The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds, he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration, until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him.” – Daniel 9:27 NLT
Again Daniel chapter 9 is an absolutely amazing prophecy, as it give us in one single passage clear and unmistakable markers that can prove to us beyond any doubt that Jesus Christ is exactly who he claimed to be.
In this passage the angel is explaining to Daniel what will take place at the end of time. The Angel is telling Daniel that one set of seven will take place at the end of the time. One set of seven will be a seven year period of time. Already in this passage, the rule was established that these sets of seven was a seven year period of time.
Now, let’s simply take the current events in the news and compare them to what is going on in the world. This Board of Peace that President Trump is proposing will have 10 world leaders to head it up. 4 European leaders, 5 Middle Eastern leaders, and Trump himself.
Here’s where Daniel’s chilling prediction gets even more specific. Just last Friday, January 9, 2026, President Trump announced that Nickolay Mladenov, a Bulgarian diplomat and former UN Middle East envoy, to be director-general of the Board of Peace. Let’s look at the verse again:
24 Its ten horns are ten kings who will rule that empire. Then another king will arise, different from the other ten, – Daniel 7:24 NLT
Now, I have switched to the New Living Translation, a very readable thought-for-thought translation of the Bible. “10 horns are ten kings.. Then another king will arise different from the other 10”. So, what do you think?
Now the next part is straight-forward; the President has made a point of avoiding giving us a timeline for his peace process. In fact, he has talked about as ‘an eternal’ peace plan. But the bottom line is this: according to the 20-point plan contained in peace agreement, by 2032, all conditions should be satisfied, and Palestine will be given a clear path to independence. In 7 years from now, it will be 2032. According to the Bible, Daniel’s prophecy could start any day.
