The Real Question is, Who Was Their Influence?

11 October 2026: Two youths, aged 12 and 13, have been identified by the police as allegedly responsible for the antisemitic graffiti found last weekend at an elementary school in San Anselmo., California. This has been confirmed by the Central Marin Police Authority. The incident is being treated as a hate crime, and the investigation is ongoing. The police and local authorities have publicly named the suspects as juveniles.

Multiple local news outlets, including SFGate, NBC Bay Area, KRON4, and Marin Independent Journal, have reported on the case, highlighting the ages of the suspects and the nature of the graffiti as antisemitic hate speech. The community response and further legal or disciplinary actions have not been detailed extensively in the reports yet, but the identification of the suspects marks a significant step in the investigation.

Who Influenced These Kids?

Regarding antisemitism at Brookside Elementary School in San Anselmo and Marin County:

  • The recent antisemitic graffiti incident at Brookside Elementary School, including a swastika, has prompted a strong community response with dozens of people rallying together against hate.
  • There are no reports indicating previous antisemitic incidents specifically at Brookside Elementary School before this event.
  • The Ross Valley School District, which includes Brookside Elementary, confirmed identifying the students responsible for this graffiti but has not reported other prior antisemitic incidents at the school.
  • There is no indication from the news sources of a broader pattern of antisemitism in Marin County schools linked to this particular school or district.

The community’s reaction suggests this incident is being treated seriously and as an isolated event rather than part of a recurring problem at the school or county level.

But the truth of the matter is this: These children have had to be taught this from someone. Pre-teen children wouldn’t usually have an interest in things such as antisemitism or hatred, unless it was being taught to them. The sad truth is, while we don’t know exactly where this hatred come from, we know for a fact it was someone. The problem is that there is too much antisemitism being put forth as acceptable. It is the fault to some extent of all of us.

By refusing to take a stand against antisemitism, we actually condone it.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

– Edmund Burke

These are true words indeed. The only thing that has to happen is good people to do nothing. Once these hate-filled people see that no one is going to defy them, they become even more emboldened.

The Real Reason For Antisemitism

There has never been another group of people in the history of the world that has been such a target of hatred, fear and anger than the Jewish people. All throughout history they have experienced persecution everywhere they traveled. Exiled from their homeland, they were chased into Europe where they were a constant target everywhere they went. I have covered this several times in previous articles, but let’s look again at the long history of Jewish persecution.

1. After 135 A.D. – The Jewish Diaspora and Early Persecutions

  • 135 A.D. – After the Bar Kokhba Revolt: The Roman Empire crushed the Jewish revolt, leading to the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple. Jews were expelled from Jerusalem and dispersed widely across the Roman Empire and beyond, marking the beginning of the widespread Jewish Diaspora.
  • Roman Empire: Jews faced restrictions, expulsions, and occasional violent persecutions, including prohibitions on practicing Judaism and holding certain positions.

2. Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages

  • Byzantine Empire: Jews were often subjected to forced conversions, restrictions on religious practices, and expulsions.
  • Early Christian Europe: Jews were marginalized, faced social and economic restrictions, and were often scapegoated for various societal problems.

3. Middle Ages (5th to 15th centuries)

  • Expulsions from Western Europe:
    • England (1290): Jews were expelled by King Edward I.
    • France (multiple expulsions between 1182 and 1394): Jews were expelled several times.
    • Spain (1492): The Alhambra Decree ordered the expulsion of all Jews from Spain unless they converted to Christianity.
    • Portugal (1497): Forced conversions and expulsions followed Spain’s example.
  • The Crusades (1096 onwards): Massacres of Jewish communities in the Rhineland and other parts of Europe by Crusaders.
  • Blood Libel and Anti-Jewish Violence: False accusations against Jews, such as ritual murder, led to pogroms and massacres.
  • Ghettos: Jews were forced to live in segregated areas, such as the Venetian Ghetto (established in 1516).

4. Early Modern Period (16th to 18th centuries)

  • Continued expulsions and restrictions: Jews faced expulsions from various European regions and were often confined to ghettos.
  • The Inquisition: Particularly in Spain and Portugal, Jews who converted (conversos) were persecuted if suspected of secretly practicing Judaism.
  • Eastern Europe: While some regions offered relative tolerance, Jews in Poland, Lithuania, and Russia faced periodic violence and legal restrictions.

5. 19th Century

  • Pogroms in the Russian Empire: Violent anti-Jewish riots occurred, especially in the late 19th century, leading to mass Jewish emigration.
  • Legal restrictions: Jews faced discrimination in many European countries, including limits on residence, education, and employment.

6. 20th Century

  • The Holocaust (1933-1945): The systematic genocide of six million Jews by Nazi Germany and its collaborators during World War II.
  • Post-Holocaust Europe: Continued antisemitism, though many Jews emigrated to Israel, the United States, and other countries.
  • Soviet Union: State-sponsored antisemitism, including restrictions on Jewish religious and cultural life.

To this very day, Jews are still hounded, being accused of anything and everything imaginable. And guess what? That is exactly what was predicted in the book of Deuteronomy. Now to put this into perspective; the book of Deuteronomy was written around the 14th century B.C., or 1400 years before the birth of Christ.

63 “Just as the LORD has found great pleasure in causing you to prosper and multiply, the LORD will find pleasure in destroying you. You will be torn from the land you are about to enter and occupy. 64 For the LORD will scatter you among all the nations from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship foreign gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods made of wood and stone!

65 There among those nations you will find no peace or place to rest. And the LORD will cause your heart to tremble, your eyesight to fail, and your soul to despair. 66 Your life will constantly hang in the balance. You will live night and day in fear, unsure if you will survive. 67 In the morning you will say, ‘If only it were night!’ And in the evening you will say, ‘If only it were morning!’ For you will be terrified by the awful horrors you see around you. Deuteronomy 28:63-67 NLT

Notice the phrase in verse 67: ” In the morning you will say, ‘If only it were night!’ And in the evening you will say, ‘If only it were morning!’ .” This is a true sign of misery; so unhappy that there is constant anxiety and dread of what the day or night might bring.

There is a lot of people who will do anything and everything to attempt to disprove this. But if you just forget what anyone (including me) tells you, and solely look at the evidence for yourself, it is obvious that this has been the fate of the Jewish people from 135 A.D, up until 1948, when the Jewish people reclaimed their ancient homeland.

It is a truly contradiction: These modern people, most well-educated, who extremely hate the Jewish people; little do they realize they are doing nothing more than walking in the footsteps of their fathers, grandfathers and the fathers who came before them. Instead of being progressive, they are actually giving up progressiveness in order to engage in the same activity that was happening centuries before their birth.

I refuse to allow these antisemitic allegations to go unchallenged! Let me make one thing perfectly clear:

“For the last 2,000 years, every generation has had an excuse to hate the Jews. Genocide against Palestine is this generation’s excuse, nothing more.“
