Recent Decisions by Ireland is Making People Compare Ireland to Pre-WWII Germany

In a move critics say echoes Europe’s darker past, Dublin City Council recently delayed a vote to rename Herzog Park. The park is named after Chaim Herzog— an Ireland-born Jew who was the sixth president of Israel. The delay came after widespread backlash accusing the move of antisemitism. The proposal, pushed by pro-Palestinian activists, was halted on December 1, 2025, due to new regulations on site renaming, prompting referral back to a committee.

Antisemitic incidents in Ireland have risen since October 2023. Among these incidents are graffiti on synagogues and the Jewish museum, taunts against schoolchildren, and vandalism, amid Ireland’s vocal criticism of Israel’s Gaza policies. The Jewish Representative Council of Ireland noted the park renaming as a hurtful signal to its small community of roughly 3,000 Jews. Ireland also paused its “Occupied Territories Bill” boycotting West Bank products amid a Gaza ceasefire.

They urge its withdrawal to honor Jewish contributions to Ireland. Israeli officials reacted strongly: President Isaac Herzog called it shameful, while Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar labeled Dublin the “capitol of antisemitism” and cited his prior closure of Israel’s embassy there. U.S. figures like Senator Lindsey Graham decried it as a “cesspool of antisemitism,” and local Jewish groups warned it erases Irish-Jewish history near Dublin’s only Jewish school.

Antisemitism’s Real Source

Nothing is able to prove the Bible true as the nation of Israel and the plight of the Jews. One can easily trace the modern history of the Jews simply by studying the prophecies of the Old Testament. There, in the pages of prophecy, the history of the Jewish people was written in advance. In fact, without the people of Israel, the Bible could easily dismissed if it weren’t for the Jew. But when taken together, the history of the Jewish people and the Scriptures blend together perfectly.

And that is why this world hates the people of Israel. The last 2,000 years have been filled with persecution, targets of hatred, subject of conspiracy, and marked for death. Not because the Jews have done anything to deserve this, how could they? The Jewish people have been a people without a country. At the mercy of the countries they were chased to, they have found no rest anywhere in the world. It wasn’t until 1948, when exactly like the book of Amos, the Jews returned home.

And how the world, and Satan himself has tried to bury, twist, demonize, allegorize and debunk the world of God. Even today, people will ignore the Scriptures and the proof of their fulfillment, because they refuse to accept what is plain before their eyes. The Jewish people will always be God’s chosen people. But even within Christianity itself, people ignore the very word of God in order to perpetuate a myth that God has replaced his people as his chosen with the church. This “Replacement Theology” can be easily refuted, but rather than humble themselves and acknowledge the truth, they cling on to their pride and their hatred.

For the last 2,000 years every generation has had an excuse to hate the Jews. This generation has chosen the Palestinian people as their excuse.

The Reality of the Fulfillment of Scripture

Bible prophecy comes true on nearly a daily basis. Even now, Bible prophecy has put three countries in dire jeopardy; Britain, France, and Iran. Let’s take a look at Scripture:

On that day I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves. – Zechariah 12:3 NLT

The Bible isn’t meant to be locked away and interpreted by scholars. The Bible is meant for you, and for me. In fact, if someone tries to tell you that scripture doesn’t really mean what it says, that is a person you need to stay away from. Don’t listen to that person one more second. This Bible verse means exactly what it says: In the last days, he will make Jerusalem immovable. All nations will gather together to try to move Israel, but they will only hurt themselves.

As I write this, there are 193 member states of the United Nations. Out of those, 150 of them have publicly sided with the Palestinian people against Israel. Yet Israel remains immovable. The Capitol of Israel is Jerusalem. And two European nations that traditionally have supported Israel have now thrown their support to the Palestinians. And both of them have suffered a government crisis within days of announcing their decisions, and still remain in crisis to this very day.

And how could we not even mention Iran. The drought in Iran right now is extremely severe—by most measures, the worst and longest the country has ever recorded, and it is threatening basic water security, agriculture, and even the habitability of major cities like Tehran. As of autumn 2025, Iran’s 193 reservoirs held only about one‑third of their total capacity, meaning roughly 67% of national storage is effectively empty.

Three nations who have sided with the Palestinian people. Iran to the point where they tried to launch an attack on Israel. Israel swatted their attack down like flies with a fly swatter. And just a few months later, a drought that could very well be called of ‘Biblical proportions’, has brought this country to its knees.

Keir Starmer, Britain’s Prime Minister, decided to break with the country’s long standing tradition of loyal support for Israel. Within days, backlash from his decision, combined with rumors of tantrums against the Monarchy, crippled his government to the point where it is still to this day struggling to recover.

The Question is Now Yours

The Bible says that God gives every single man and woman on earth repeated calls and opportunities to come to him. He knocks on the hearts of men, pricks their consciousness, and speaks to them in the quiet days of reflection. But he will only give a person so many chances, and then he turns them over to a debased mind. I don’t have the luxury of treating skeptics with kid gloves. The Bible is true, I believe that with all my heart and am quite ready to prove it should I be called on to do so. But the question is not mine to answer. I have already answered that for myself. Now it is your turn. Antisemitism is yet another proof God exists.

God has made a path to him. You don’t have to rely on your deeds to save you. Jesus came to this earth and fulfilled the law of the Old Testament in your place. Your forgiveness was paid for when he died on the cross. And for all we know, this could be your last chance to redeem yourself. Don’t wait any longer.
