Now, The Path Toward Ezekiel 38 Is Wide Open
15 June, 2026: I cheered when Donald Trump won the election in 2024. I really thought this was going to be another Reagan era revival. I honestly believed that Donald Trump was a man of his word; and he would do the right thing for Israel.
But tonight, we have seen the ultimate betrayal of Israel, and a complete desertion of the Iranian people who he personally promised to set them free from the IRGC. But then, he fell into the Nebuchadnezzar Trap. He started thinking he was so great and forgot that God put him where he was. Just like King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon did during Daniel’s time, Trump has become convinced it was him and his genius that has caused this, not God working through him.
“This Great Deal will bring Peace and Security to the whole Region. Many presidents have tried to make Peace with Iran, and all have failed before me. The Leaders of the Region have, for the first time, found a President who can help them achieve real Peace.” – President Donald Trump
Compare this to the words of King Nebuchadnezzar:
“Is not this great Babylon, which I have built by my mighty power as a royal residence and for the glory of my majesty?” – Daniel 4:30 ESV

No More Delays
To those of us who study Bible prophecy, we knew this had to happen. As much as it was a punch in the gut to see Trump betray the people of Iran. But now, this has opened the door to Ezekiel 38:
And I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great host, all of them with buckler and shield, wielding swords. 5 Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer and all his hordes; Beth-togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all his hordes—many peoples are with you. – Ezekiel 38:4-6 ESV
All these lands are now ready and poised to launch an attack on Israel, and this could literally happen at any time. In fact, the Bible says:
While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. – 1 Thessalonians 5:3 ESV
Lands and Their Modern Counterparts
- Persia – This is easily known: Modern Iran.
- Cush: Generally identified as the region south of Egypt, corresponding to modern-day Sudan and parts of Ethiopia.
- Put: Often associated with the region west of Egypt, corresponding to modern-day Libya
- Gomer: Most scholars connect this to the ancient Cimmerians, placing them in the region of modern-day Turkey.
- Beth-Togarmah: Frequently associated with the area of ancient Armenia, covering regions that are now part of eastern Turkey and Armenia.
- Magog: Frequently linked to the lands north of the Caucasus Mountains, often associated with the Scythian peoples.
- Meshech and Tubal: Often identified with ancient groups in the region of modern-day Turkey.
The problem with interpretation of the Bible when it comes to places, is the fact that we have a bad habit of changing names. A person that I attribute much of my Bible education, Chuck Missler, would make a reference to St. Petersburg, Russia. Back in the 1700’s the city was named St. Petersburg and remained that until 1914. The name was changed to Petrograd for ten years in 1914. Then it was changed to Leningrad in 1924 and remained Leningrad until 1991. Then was renamed again back to the original name of St. Petersburg.
The city that is a fascination to me is Istanbul. beginning in 667 B.C, the city was originally founded as a Greek colony named Byzantion, then Latinized as Byzantium. In 330 A.D., Roman Emperor Constantine renamed the city to Constantinople. It remain that name for almost two millennia, until 1930 when the name was changed once again to Istanbul.
That is the reason in order to translate the Bible lands, we look at the original founders of the land. So when you look at the areas of these ancient, they align perfectly with modern nations who have either gone to war with Israel in the past, or are currently in conflict with Israel.
Peace, Peace, When There Is No Peace
This prophecy has just came to pass. Now. In the last few days, this prophecy has literally been fulfilled. Israel is subject to attack, and criticized for retaliation. Instead they are given empty promises of peace.
They have healed the wound of my people lightly,
saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace. – Jeremiah 8:11 ESV
When Donald Trump was elected in 2024, I personally wondered how Bible prophecy could come to pass with such a staunch supporter of Israel as the President of the United States. Recently, I have been getting my answer. Because our President has turned out to be an egotistical, arrogant, belligerent man who is more interested in his reputation than the welfare of the people of Israel or the people of Iran.
But make no mistake about this: Both Iran and Israel are now in the hands of the most powerful being in the entire universe. And perhaps now, Israel can finally have the peace that the world cannot deliver.
A Nuclear Attack on Israel?
If the Bible is true, we’re about to see some sort of tactical nuclear attack on Israel. Either that, or some sort of dirty bomb. Perhaps that is the plan Iran has for all that enriched uranium that they thumbed their nose at Donald Trump with. Ezekiel chapter 39 has a detailed plan for a very unique clean up in Israel. In this chapter, Ezekiel goes into detail on how the clean up from the Ezekiel 38 war. It is really one of the most fascinating things in the Bible.
Many people tend to focus on the 38th chapter of Ezekiel that is so fascinating, but I personally think that chapter 39 is much more interesting. But this chapter tells us that some sort chemical, nuclear, biological warfare attack on Israel. Whether it’s a fully functional nuclear bomb, or a dirty bomb, something is used that require a specialized procedure for removing some type of toxic or hazardous material.
